Is Hamsterley a home to cryptids?

Could it be true? Could Hamsterley Forest be home to British Bigfoot creatures or perhaps on a path they use to roam across the region?

According to the two reported sightings in this video, that may well be the case. Hamsterley used to be a place I visited quite regularly as a child. There always was something special in the air whenever I went. Bedburn Beck running along the length of the valley provided a source of flowing water, whilst the well laid out paths provided that little extra sense of adventure amongst the trees.

However, it never occurred to me that it could provide suitable habitat for large creatures such as those described as ‘Bigfoot’. I just didn’t believe it was big enough, yet if the Forestry Commission figures are correct, and we have no reason to doubt them, Hamsterley is around 2,000 hectares in area. That’s approximately the size of 4,000 football pitches.

Hamsterly - Tent in the woods

Since the introduction of higher tolls for vehicular access to the forest drive and parking, I have given Hamsterley a wide birth, but if there is a chance of spotting some cryptid activity, perhaps I may invest in one of their annual passes which they call a Discovery Pass.

What there is to be discovered of course is another question all-together. It just seems a shame that the forest is not open to the public at night. Then again, with vandalism and rogue campfires the closing times maybe perfectly understandable.

Anyway, give the video a watch and let me know what you think in the comments. Do you feel the reports mentioned are credible? I just feel they may well be.
